The Pinehills is a vibrant mixed-use village nestled within 3,244+ acres of woodlands, pine forests, fields and agricultural uses situated off Clark Road and east of the Route 3/Clark Road interchange in Plymouth, Massachusetts. As currently planned, the community will consist of: 2,132 limited occupancy homes; 920 planned retirement homes; four 18-hole golf courses; and 1.3 million square feet (sf) of commercial retail/office development encompassing two conference centers, a community retail center, office space, and a mix of office and research and development uses. The community is being developed in phases over a multi year period. VAI worked as an integral part of the development team throughout the initial planning, design and permitting process for the community to ensure that the transportation system serving the project provided sufficient capacity to accommodate the long-term build-out of The Pinehills and planned future development in this growing area of the Town, while balancing the rural character of both The Pinehills and the surrounding area. These services are on-going and include a comprehensive traffic monitoring program that is performed on an annual basis in order to document the traffic characteristics of the community as it is developed and to refine the elements of the Transportation Demand Management (TDM) program.
