Jeffrey S. Dirk P.E., PTOE, FITE
Managing Partner
Mr. Dirk is the Managing Partner at VAI with over 30 years of experience in the fields of Traffic Engineering, Transportation Planning and Expert Witness Testimony. He is a Fellow of the Institute of Transportation Engineers (FITE) and is a Registered Professional Engineer (P.E.) in the states of Connecticut, Massachusetts, Maine, New Hampshire, Rhode Island, and Virginia, and has been Certified as a Professional Traffic Operations Engineer (PTOE) by the Transportation Professional Certification Board,
Stephen M. Boudreau P.E
Partner
Mr. Boudreau is a Partner and Director of Highway Engineering at VAI with over 36 years of experience in Transportation Planning and Engineering Design. As a Partner of the firm, Mr. Boudreau is responsible for project management, business development, client maintenance
F. Giles Ham P.E
Senior Advisor
Mr. Ham recently retired from his role as Managing Partner at VAI after 26 years of service. He continues to serve as a Senior Advisor and in assisting with business development and client management. His wide range of experience as a Traffic Engineer and Transportation Planner in the New England market provide a unique understanding of the permitting process and community involvement that are necessary to develop a successful strategy to advance projects.
Scott W. Thornton, P.E.
Principal
Mr. Thornton is a Principal at VAI with over 20 years of experience in the areas of Traffic Engineering and Transportation Planning. He has conducted numerous analyses including Impact Assessments, Corridor Studies, Signal Warrant Analyses, Functional Design Reports, and Parking Evaluations for a variety of land uses at Vanasse & Associates, Inc. He has been involved in various aspects of Traffic Engineering, including the preliminary design and analysis of roadways, intersections, roundabouts, highway interchanges, and traffic signal systems.
Dusty R. Beeley
Principal/Chief Financial Officer
Ms. Beeley has over 26 years of experience at VAI. As the Principal/Chief Financial Officer, she oversees all aspects of corporate finance and office operations. Her responsibilities include budget development and tracking, financial planning, implementation of generally accepted accounting practices, compliance with Federal and state regulations and tax codes, and facilitating the completion of reviewed financial statements and tax returns prepared by the independent corporate CPA. She is the primary point of contact with the company banking institutions, vendors and clients, and she serves as the Human Resource Director overseeing staff, employee relations, compensation and training.
Shaun P. Kelly
Associate
Mr. Kelly is an Associate at VAI with expertise in the area of Traffic Engineering and Transportation Planning. Mr. Kelly has over 21 years of experience in the design and permitting of transportation projects and complex land development projects in the states of Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Connecticut, Rhode Island, Vermont
Jamie T. Gregory
Associate
Mr. Gregory is an Associate at VAI and Manager of the Graphics Department. He has over 30 years of experience in CAD design that includes the preparation of presentation materials and report graphics, conceptual plans for roadway, intersection and traffic control improvements, and traffic control plans. He is also responsible for maintaining VAI’s IT network and for ensuring that corporate computer hardware and software are consistent with current technology. Mr. Gregory assists with the development of the annual Company budget for computer systems, software and IT services, and is responsible for soliciting bids for vendor services and equipment purchases.
Daniel A. DeRoche, Jr., P.E.
Senior Highway/Construction Engineer
Mr. DeRoche leads our construction services section with over 24 years of experience in highway engineering and design for both public and private sector clients. As Senior Construction Engineer, he works on various stages of the design of transportation improvement projects providing first-hand experiences to his and other staff’s design work. He is also responsible for field reconnaissance, construction inspection and utility coordination to address questions during construction. He has inspected utility and roadway projects throughout Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Connecticut, and Maine working for both public and private clients.
